I began my journey in Complementary Therapies in 1995 when I studied at Ayrshire Central Hospital in a newly formed internal Graduate programme designed for Health Care Professionals. Here I studied Anatomy Physiology and Swedish Massage and a 2 year programme in Clinical Aromatherapy. This ultimately led me to Yoga and Tibetan Buddhism; I visited India and here studied Yoga and Yogic Philosophy in several Ashrams and continue to liaise with my Teacher when he visits the UK. I also go into retreat throughout the year as part of my personal practice.
I now teach Yoga and hold workshops throughout the UK. I was invited last year to be a part of a team designing the new Complementary Therapy Course within Ayrshire College and prepare our students to be the best they can be and propel this area into pioneering new territory of the future.
I practice a Compassion centred philosophy. I am committed to continuous philosophical spiritual education from various disciplines. My Teaching is interspersed with thought provoking meditations applying ancient wisdom to our contemporary western world in a useful and understandable way. I encourage the growth of the physical and spiritual self and our interconnectedness to each other to the world and the universe.
